Application Overview:

Using the SCT cable RC2-003™ for power and control and the SCT cable RC2-004™ for Y/Pb/Pr video the connection between the Sony EVI-HD1 camera and the RC2™ camera module is quick and easy.  All terminations are pre-made and ready to go.

RC2™ Camera Module

At the head end a variety of application dependent cables are available.  Using the SCT cable RC2-101™ connects between the RC2™ head end module and a Polycom HDX™ codec.  This single cable assembly combines control, IR and video onto the Polycom standard 60-pin HDCI connector making this a simple integration between Sony HD cameras and Polycom videoconferencing codecs.

Other head end cables provide video break out, VISCA control loop, joystick control interface and a host of others.

Once all the connections are made, the Cat5 cables have been tested and properly terminated, a simple one button push of the cable adapt button automatically calibrates and adjusts for required gain, skew and EQ.  This provides a high quality image and creates an "invisible" link between the camera and head end terminating device such as a codec, video switch, recorder or display.
